THE JOURNEY TO SEDUM
During a 2023 trip to Corsica, Ian White was captivated by Sedum caeruleum, a rare succulent with striking azure-blue, six-petaled flowers. "It was the first time I felt called to create an essence outside Australia," Ian recalls. Although he didn’t have the equipment, the flower’s message was clear and he knew he had to return. Finding the right location was challenging, with pristine environments being difficult to access. Despite obstacles, Sedum was created in the ideal spot.
