Bogbean essence supports the development of our sensitivity, in ways which are healthy and harmonious. Being ‘too sensitive’ creates fragility, leaves one feeling exposed and vulnerable to life’s knocks and feeling overwhelmed by the needs and feelings of others. Being ‘insensitive’ involves a sense of hardness, coldness and indifference towards others, and ineptitude when handling other people’s moods or our own softer emotions.
Bogbean Essence helps us recover the gift of balanced sensitivity: to become aware of how intimately we are connected to all living things, constantly picking up signals from the collective consciousness, and to help us as we distil this as part of our own unique experience. This process is an inherent part of being human but our ability to attune to this and flow with it productively is a life-skill.
For practitioners in particular, this is a very useful essence. It helps us to sense the needs and feelings of others but not be overwhelmed or driven by them; instead balancing this insight with compassion for and protection of our own emotions.
The essence helps us put out ‘feelers’; to use our extra sensory perception; to become more attuned to the world around us in ways which are in harmony with the level of insight we are able to assimilate. It also supports the integrity of our aura, protecting the fine nerve-like filaments of our energy-body that are the means by which we interact with the world around us.
Using the gift of healthy sensitivity opens up our ability to read life’s terrain more skilfully, to understand the role of the body as subtle interface, and to respond from a place of greater compassion and awareness.
